Total’s CEO becomes co-chair of the Partnering Against Corruption Initiative
In September 2019, Patrick Pouyanné was nominated co-chair of the World Economic Forum’s Partnering Against Corruption Initiative (PACI) that Total joined in 2016. PACI brings together approximately 90 signatories from the private sector in order to share and develop anticorruption best practices.
On October 17th, during the PACI fall meeting, Patrick Pouyanné shared his vision on the fight against corruption, which he considers more as a value rather than a priority, since priorities can be subject to arbitrations within companies. Total’s chairman and CEO also insisted on the importance of collective actions and of a systemic approach enabling an evolution in practices, as well as on the much-needed commitment of all WEF participating companies.
